Dein Schwere(s)Los!-Team
P.S. August.
Dear friend of Schwere(s)Los!
The weather doesn't want to? Never mind, we won't let it get us down and are planning lots of events - indoors, outdoors, with activities, watching, listening and hopefully lots of fun and sometimes something to think about and feel into!
As always, we are there for you in our rooms at Kleineschholzweg 5 every day between 10 am and 6 pm (Thursdays 2-6 pm) and do our best to put together a balanced program with artistic courses, movement and conversation. And of course coffee, lunch three times a week and so on.
To transform our somewhat hidden location from an insider tip to an open secret, we will soon even have an official sign at the entrance to Kleineschholzweg, if nothing comes up! As is so often the case, months of negotiations with the authorities, cost estimates, surveying, etc. are behind this probably rather inconspicuous and, for the uninitiated, banal sign. The graffito, which we will soon get - if everything works out - is also turning into a lengthy process with a hopefully happy outcome.
So we are working in small but steady steps towards our vision of creating a beautiful meeting and cultural space for everyone to flourish more and more. And we look forward to your visit!
Your Schwere(s)Los! team
P.S. In summer even we are on vacation! Schwere(s)Los! will be closed from August 12 to 31. |

This quote by Bauhaus artist Lyonel Feininger is the guiding principle that connects the work of the three associations with their diverse artistic offerings. The program includes painting dialogues, musical happenings and public weaving as well as discussions, themed events, theater performances, music and movement activities and surprises. Neues zum KulturKiosk - News about Culture Kiosk |

A Culture Kiosk for Stühlinger Kirchplatz -
We have been working on this vision for almost four years now! A vision of togetherness on the square, the reduction of fears and aggression and the cultural enrichment and enhancement of this important location.
We have held countless discussions with municipal authorities and councillors, submitted funding applications and have now drawn up 9 concepts - the latter mainly thanks to our tireless architect Dirk Hollstein and, more recently, designer Jens Burde from the Institut für Sagenhaftes.
In the meantime, we have arrived at the details in the municipal exchange, e.g. the necessary maintenance hatch for the drainage shaft or the question of whether electricity and water will be sourced directly from the city or from the VAG. But this also means that the goal is within reach!
Concepts for the cultural department are being revised, further applications are on the way and, according to the lottery funding, construction must start this year. So it's time to clear the last bureaucratic hurdles! And raise more funds! This fall, we have decided to try our hand at crowdfunding. Anyone who is already familiar with this and would like to support us is very welcome! Just get in touch with us. Dirk and Jens (picture below) will be pleased! |
